Central Asia year 1

In April 2008, soon after completing the project India year 1, we decided that we would take the opportunity to take the PWB show on the road in Central Asia. Not only will we be entertaining vulnerable children in this forgotten corner of the world but researching the possibilities of making a PWB project in the region.

The tour was very successful with plenty of fantastic shows to groups of really enthusiastic children. We were made very welcome by many different organisations. This was especially so in Bishkek (the capital of Kyrygyzstan) where our local contact made the most of our visit to push to cause of social development in the media.

Teacher routine

Most amazingly Matt and Jonny found themselves in a news conference sitting next to the Minister for Labour and Social Development. After explaining who PWB are and what we were up to, the minister thanked us and said that the government would help us set up a full PWB project in anyway they could.

Below are some of the places we visited on the tour. You can also read about the journey on our blog and see some pictures.
